Mr Sean Watermeyer

Mr Sean Watermeyer is a full time Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Llantrisant. In addition to his Obstetrics and Gynaecology training, he has a First Class honours degree in Genetics, is a qualified GP and has membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners as well as membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

He completed his MD research thesis on Pelvic Organ blood flow using ultrasound in 2005 after spending 2 years working at the Cardiff Assisted Reproduction Unit and currently teaches junior doctors ultrasound. He has broad experience of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, having the Special Skills Module in Menopause, the BSCCP / RCOG joint certificate in Colposcopy, and the BSGE (British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy) level 2 laparoscopy certificate. He is widely published and presented at both national and international conferences.

On a more personal note his work vision is to alleviate women’s suffering through listening and caring, applying up to date medical knowledge in the diagnosis and treatment of his patients, and the use of holistic medicine where applicable.
