Sheila Littleboy
Birth Preparation and Baby Massage
As the mother of two daughters Sheila felt the need whilst pregnant to find a more holistic approach to complement the routine medical care available and found the Shiatsu-based birth preparation classes that she attended boosted her confidence to achieve a natural birth. This lead Sheila to want to specialise in working with women in pregnancy and in 2004 she obtained a Diploma in Holistic Maternity Care in 2004 from Bristol-based Well Mother a well respected organisation in the field of complementary maternity care.
As a complementary therapist with a special interest in working with women in pregnancy and beyond Sheila has developed a range of options for women seeking a more holistic approach to pregnancy, birth and motherhood, including the Birth Preparation Workshops and Baby Massage classes offered at the clinic.
Sheila qualified with the Bristol School of Shiatsu in 1997 and in 1998 qualified to teach stress management and relaxation. As well as running workshops for private clients on Shiatsu, relaxation skills, birth preparation and baby massage, Sheila has also delivered stress management and shiatsu workshops within adult education, the health service and private organisations drawing on her background in Human Resource Management and training.
